wtf..

ok wtf.. where the heck have i been... so much for posting everyday.. lol.. and it wasn't even a gradual non-posting-ness.. it was a "blog..? what blog?"-ness..ness.. ..yes.. ok, sandra is tired.. i've been working every day at fairview.. since.. i.. started working at fairview.. haha.. rock... i was talking to kmrd about work, and we were trying to figure out if it was even worth it for me to put up with all this wrapping BS.. i don't think i'll be back next year.. unless something miraculous happens.. bleh.. so hard to find a job on a student's schedule.. i'm enjoying the wrapping so far.. but ONLY the wrapping.. not too liking the customers giving me shit for stuff i'm not even responsible for.. "$7.35 to wrap THIS??" ..yeah, ok lady.. i just work here, i don't come up with these numbers... don't shoot the messenger...
hopefully, i'll be able to find a better job come next winter.. maybe second cup again.. bleh.. it's good money, but not so great on diversity when it comes to experience... ..i guess we'll just have to see... le sigh...

i <3 sleeping in..

my winter break has been going well so far.. i work really short shifts (so far, only 3 hrs max) at the wrapping place in fairview.. i'm hoping that my wrapping SKILLZ will be a lot better by tuesday so the manulife center people will want me.. i think i'll like working at manulife center better than the BCE place.. heh, manulife center has bay-bloor radio.. :D plus, it's so much easier to get to..
ahhh, wishing it was wednesday already so kmrd can be DONE school... baka centennial.. takes soooOOOoo long to finish.. UTSC has been out of school for almost a week now.. booo.. hurry up kmrd and finish! then we can go celebrate the doneness of school...

fairview, here i come..

today was my first day of work at fairview... it was *dundunduuuuun* assessment day.. lol.. so yeah, i worked a short shift so the manager can get to know me one on one and see if i wrap stuff ok.. which i do (even if i'm slow.. haha).. my manager is very cool.. he's very lax with the rules (which even i find stifling) and taught me basically how everything works.. so yeah, i think i'm going to enjoy working with him.. hopefully he can get me in full time, so i don't have to go downtown so much.. booo downtown... i get to work tomorrow at fairview as well and on monday... tuesday, i'm going down to the manulife center for my ASSessment.. i really don't want to work downtown.. they usually have complimentary services, so the people can't leave the table which means we have to wrap in front of them which equals lots of burns on my poor fingers... >_< ahhh, i hate glue guns.......

wheeee.. i got another call for this wrapping job.. looks like i'm going to fairview this friday for a 2 hour shift.. the manager for the fairview location sounds really cool.. he's so lax with all the rules.. haha..

him: "so.. yeah, i don't know what they told you about the dresscode yet..."
me: "oh, i was told white collared shirt and black pants."
him: "yeah, i'm really flexible with the dresscode.. i wear sweatpants to work because it gets really dirty.. as for the shirt.. it really doesn't matter"
me: O_O

lol.. so yeah.. i think fairview is going to be my favourite location to work.. haha.. i'm also scheduled to work at the manulife center which is kinda out of the way, but eh.. work is work.. the manager for that location sounded not too enthusiastic about her line of work this winter.. haha.. i guess i can understand if they have to deal mostly with high schoolers.. i'd be wary too.. O_O..

freedom

yay done-ness! the semester is OVER.. soooo happy.. T_T this semester was so killer.. i took 4 studio courses, all at once.. NEVER AGAIN. on the plus side, i have no exams.. :D lol, on the not so plus side, my body is still needing to recouperate for two weeks worth of lost sleep.. boo...

anywho, since this semester is finally finished and DONE with, i think i'll go get some pictures of some of my better projects ready for posting..! yay! then you can see what a crazy art student does for homework.. O_O

t3h burnings..

so i totally burned my left index finger today with VERY hot glue from a glue gun. i'm typing very awkwardly.. but i'm getting ahead of myself.. so today was my first day at work.. well, not really.. it was actually just an hour training.. i'm a christmas gift wrapper, working for some company called.. uh.. erm.. ..ok, i can't remember what they're called right now, but they hire people over the holiday season to wrap other people's gifts.. today, i worked for an hour at the BCE place, right across from starbucks.. it was quite nerve wracking.. see, i consider myself a pretty decent gift wrapper, as i have been wrapping gifts at christmas time for as long as i can remember.. but NOW.. these people.. have their OWN methods of wrapping.. which include.. HOT GLUE GUNS.. like.. friggin steaming hot.. i.. hate.. glue guns.. i've never liked them.. it's much a hate-hate relationship.. so yeah.. i totally burned myself twice.. the first time, eh.. not so bad.. the second time.. holy crapolas.. it was so bad, that it blistered almost immediately, and still stung 2 hours after the fact.. it's about 3/4 the size of a dime.. pretty nasty.. i hope it heals before i start working hardcore (which is apparently next week).. i'm also going to be working at fairview.. going back and forth between there and the BCE place.. hope i make some decent moneys.. ..anywho.. until then.... O_O..

arrrrgh, so close, so close! it's 11:05 a.m. and i need to leave in 55 minutes to go to MY LAST CLASS OF THE SEMESTER! yayayayayay >_< ..too bad i left all my work till the last minute.. haha.. i have a gallery review to finish.. bleeh.. must.. work.. faster! waaah! almost done! :DDDDDDD
