guessssssss what?? got my renaissance and baroque midterm test back today and i so totally ROCKED IT!! i even surprised myself.. haha.. i knew i killed the slide identification but the friggin' multiple choice was a joke. me and my friend kelly totally guessed on almost all of them.. and still came out with an 8/10 on it.. hahahaha! my total mark was a 90%!!! take that renaissance art!! :DDDDDD aaaand, even more good news..! i got my take home test back from roman architecture (more or less the equivalent of the midterm) and nailed it with an 80%! w00000t..ness.. so yeah.. definitely an awesome day.. 'cept for the 15 minute nap.. haha.. on tuesdays, i have a 4 hour break between 3:00 and 7:00 so i usually grab a bite to eat with dave and then kill the rest of the time over at his place.. but today i was so sluggish and tired after dinner (and because i was up till 3 reading Frankenstein), so i took a quick nap between 6:15 and 6:30.. LOL.. it was so funny.. i was sleeping in the family room.. and totally started snoring (cuz i was so tired).. and dave's mom is like "...what is that?" ..LOL.. yeah.. then she saw me like.. passed out on the air matress.. hahaha.. good job me.. what's even funnier.. was that i was dreaming.. that i was asleep.. in dave's family room.. and snoring.. and in my dream, i was trying to wake myself up from dream sleep.. hahaha.. omg.. it was sooo funny when dave woke me up..

dave: "oh yeah..."
me: *dies*
hahahaha.. ehh, it's all good.. i managed to trudge through roman architecture class well enough with the help of a medium double double from tim's.. didn't win anything from roll up with rim to win though.. suxx0rs.. O_O

best day ev-ar? i think so!

wheee! yayayayayay! so today was an amazing day.. probably my most productive day out of this whole reading week (which is kinda sad, mind you..) today, kmrd and i celebrated our 2 year anniversary.. 'course.. we both don't.. really.. remember exactly when we got together.. but through some careful pursuasion (LOL, not!), i managed to convince kmrd to celebrate it today..
of course, i had some sneakiness around the corner..! i planned out the day cuz i knew he was going to be too tired to think, let alone plan anything.. haha.. zomg, kmrd has been overworked so bad these past few weeks (bring on the essence of chicken, plz! O_O) so i was hoping to ease the pain a little by getting us tickets to the canadian international autoshow! wooo! destined to be a day full of greatness! so yeah.. we were (obviously) kinda sluggish getting up today and managed to get to fairview at around noon.. decided to eat some lunch (i had a sub, he had arby's) and then head on downtown..
got to the autoshow, and i must admit it was quite impressive this year.. mind you, the last time i've been to one of these things was years ago.. maybe 2000-2001? i really can't remember.. so yeah, the quality of the show definitely improved exponentially.. i think it also had to do with it not being shoulder-to-shoulder crowded cuz it was a thursday.. good day to go.. haha.. there were actually quite a few kids there with their parents.. can you say skipping work/school?? lol.. there were even high school classes there on a field trip.. O_O dude, why wasn't libermann cool like that?
so yeah.. first booth we saw was mazda.. they were one of the few ppl who had a concept car to show.. the only other concept car i remember seeing was something from suzuki.. O_o.. and it was WEIRD.. i was kinda disappointed there weren't more concept cars around.. there wasn't much there that i hadn't seen before.. nothing that really blew my mind.. but all in all, every company had SOMEthing interesting to show..
it was pretty nuts though.. a lot of the "higher end" car companies had these CRAZY booths set up.. they had these information tables that seriously looked like a hotel lobby information desk. a FANCY hotel information desk. BMW, Mini and Subaru were all selling merchandise too (clothing, pens, etc.).. y'know, selling the "lifestyle". benz and lexus also had their own LOUNGES set up on a second level for drinks and coffee.. these places looked nicer than most coffee shops down on queen st. O_o.. pretty nuts, i tell ya.. damn.. we DID see this really nice benz that looked like the batmobile.. haha.. designed by mclaren.. O____O can you say hardcore? it even looked like it was going fast, standing still... >_<
hmm.. what else.. oh yah, we both tried sitting in the smart car.. zomg, it's so funny.. ok.. so my opinion.. the car is very well designed aesthetically, but they totally neglected funtion.. it kinda feels like a big toy car from the inside (lots of kid-looking knobs and buttons to press and poke).. and it definitely feels like you're sitting in one.. lol.. when kmrd closed the door, my elbow was about 1cm away from the door.. i'm like.. how do i steer?? the steering wheel is huge for the small amount of space you have in the cabin.. O_O so yeah.. i'd never get one.. if i had to choose a small car (like.. ridiculously small).. i'd go with the mini.. those look really fun to drive.. :D
mmm.. there's much more to mention about the cars, but i feel like there should be a "part II" to that.. so we'll just keep moving along...
after the autoshow (and walking for 4 hours straight), we were on our way back to union station when i remembered i had to call bay bloor radio about my headphones!! headphones that were supposed to be a christmas present.. haha.. so yeah.. long story short, i've been bugging bbr for about 2 months now about these headphones.. every time i call, they always say that they're not in yet.. so yeah.. after giving them a 3 week break, i called them today and FINALLY they were in! so we hussled over to the manulife center and picked up my overdue headphones.. and i'm using them right now! they're soooo cool.. sooo different from my sony earbuds.. and they're so comfy! granted, i need to break 'em in a bit (after wearing them for the subway ride home, my head hurt a bit..) but other than that.. i really like them.. can't go wrong with sennheisers.. ...unless they're the.. PX..something somethings.. those are garbage.. hahaha..
so! rush hour.. looong subway ride in sardine can.. but then.. back in scarborough.. and time to eat! at st.louis! hahaha.. we went there with cal, brad, chris, jay and trina on tuesday and now me and dave are addicted to their fries.. haha.. so yeah.. went back there again today for dinner.. i got their special for the day.. 6 drumsticks and fries for $5.50! what a deal! and OMG they were hoooooooooo-ge..! dave got a philly cheesesteak and i had to get him to help me with my drumsticks.. lol.. but they were so good..! so yah, very very good dinner.. and we went to walk some of it off at longo's next door.. that place is so cool.. and dave had never been in one before! so we HAD to go.. they have such cool pastries.. GIANT strawberry tarts that are the size of a small child's face for $1.99.. how could you go wrong??
anywho, that was more or less the whole day (save for a few unimportant details here and there).. it was an awesome day.. especially since i haven't seen dave in such a long time.. haha.. school, work and commissions are keeping him away from me much.. so it was nice to have the whole day with him.. hope i'll get to see him again soon..
..and wow, this was a damn long post.. whew.. time for sleep...! *zzz*

zomg, booties..

BOOTIES! i bought booties for my doggie today.. at first.. i got the "hot doggers".. but omg, they were retarded.. didn't fit her and they fell off way too easily.. so i got the fleece lined ones.. HOLY. CRAPOLA. i spent like.. 30 minutes fighting with her to get them on.. she haaates them.. well, ok.. she maybe doesn't hate them.. she's not used to them.. yet.. i hope she will eventually cuz that means she'll be able to walk around more.. they're pretty nice.. lol. they even have reflective tape on 'em cuz they're for indoor and outdoor use.. but i only need them for indoor use.. so yeah. i fought with her.. and geez.. i'm so tired now! my arms feel like they're going to fall off! i think my whole body was tense for the whole half hour and i didn't even know it.. argh.. so yeah.. booo booties.. but yay booties? O_O
on a happier non-fightingly note.. CALVIN AND HOBBES CAME TODAY!! woo! my dad ordered me the complete calvin and hobbes collection from barnes and nobles on january 19th.. and it arrived today.. O_O and wth?? NOW AMAZON.COM HAS IT?? FOR CHEAPER?? ARRRGH, of course.. friggin'.. argh..! bleh.. whatever.. i have it now.. they probably have the second run edition.. or something.. >____< ... ... ... BOOTIES!

to the drivers in toronto: stop being stupid

sooo.. my doggie kinda took over my bed so i'm just gonna loaf around till she decides to get off.. haha..
so the other day.. on.. uh.. saturday? i guess that'd be yesterday.. geez, i have such a bad memory.. ..anyway.. on saturday.. i was on my way to kmrd's place to just loaf around.. and as many of you know.. (or.. may not?) there's a 4 way stop in front of bridlewood mall that just makes drivers stupid.. i dunno what it is.. maybe there's a forcefield of stupid constantly hovering around that intersection... but anyway.. because they're doing stupid roadwork on mcniccol, i have to go through that 4 way stop more often than usual.. so i was there.. on saturday.. wanting to make a left turn.. i was the first (and only) one at the stop sign.. then another car came up on my right side and stopped.. so once i made sure she stopped, i proceeded to go.. now, there were NO other cars at the other two stop signs. the only other sign of any cars was a car way down the street on my left side.. so after being stopped at the stop sign for a good SOLID 3-4 seconds.. i started to turn, but as soon as i was halfway into the intersection, the friggin' car that was coming on the left side FULLY RAN THE STOP SIGN AND ALMOST HIT ME.. i slammed on the brakes and was on the horn for like 5 seconds.. WHAT. THE. FUCK. YOU. RETARD. i was seriously 2 inches away from hitting the guy (cuz i was the one making a left turn).. OMG i was seriously shocked.. the driver (a guy) started laughing nervously and waved it off BUT HIS WIFE.. OMG.. I FUCKING WANTED TO SLAP HER. she's sitting there, just STARING AT ME. like it was MY FAULT. EXCUSE ME, BITCH. YOUR HUSBAND ALMOST FUCKED UP MY CAR. STOP STARING AT ME LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT. ..i swear.. i hate how STUPID people are ruining what i enjoy.. i love cars.. i love driving.. BUT I FUCKING HATE OTHER DRIVERS. so please. if you're a driver. don't drive stupid. you look like an ass in front of all of us. and we all know it. thank you.

whee! officially started reading week! too bad i actually have work to do.. bleh.. seriously need to do SOMEthing for site-specific.. stupid don and his not giving us any deadlines for projects.. running a B level course like it's a D level.. gimme some deadlines damnit! and while you're at it, give me something to DO.. it's so hard to come out with something out of thin air (zomg, aren't i just gonna be the greatest starving artist EVER??) i want to do something that's in the city.. none of this "oo, nature" crap.. i'm really getting sick of all the environmental art.. almost everyone has shown pictures of friggin' forests.. that aren't even natural.. it's a forest stuck in a city.. and it's all pictures of trees and rocks! "yes.. i really like this tree.. i like the way it's angled.. but i don't know what i'm going to do with it" TIMES HOJILLIAN!! yes, thank you.. i learned nothing.. you rock.. so yes.. gotta do something in the good ol' concrete (and decaying) jungle.. gotta at least get 2 works done.. omg.. my week is already filling up too.. better get started soon.. have those labels to design.. w00t w00t.. ok.. so i haven't gotten much done since my last post a few hours ago.. i dunno what it is.. kinda not in the right mindset to work. i feel like my head is up in the clooouds.. clooooooouds.. kl-au-ds.. so yeah.. i just spent the last 20-30 mins making valentine day cards for my sister's class.. haha.. remember in elementary school when kids would hand out valentines to the whole class? but then, if you were unpopular, you'd get only like.. 3 pity valentines? *points* me.. lol.. looooser.. >_< okok, so maybe it wasn't THAT bad.. but it wasn't mandatory in my day to give one out to everyone in the class.. plus, i was never into valentine's day.. even as a kid.. but yeah, apparently now, i guess to encourage fairness, kids get sent home with a class list so they have to give a valentine's day card out to everyone.. lol.. seems like a waste of moo-lahs to me..! which i guess is why my mom asked me to help my sister out by making 'em from scratch and printing them out on our good ol' canon i960.. i'll post 'em up later.. they came out pretty cool looking.. haha.. in the meantime, here is a totally random sketch i did in my english course.. (i doodle in the class more than i take notes.. woo)

this week has gone by so fast.. i'm always losing track of what day it is.. which is never good.. looking at my big calendar with big, red due dates scribbled all over it.. looks like these next two weeks are gonna be a bit hectic.. but maybe not.. i've noticed i have a lot of spare time these days.. i'm wondering if it's from my cripple-ness with the finger smashing.. or if it's just cuz i ..really do have a lot of spare time.. i guess 9 hours of class a week is pretty extreme.. in the not good sense.. hrm.. i guess i should really get myself together and find some extra stuff to do.. bleh.. if only i could hold a pencil.. and chopsticks.. i'm really starting to hate forks...
